My Story

Coaching called to me after almost a decade in the law and academic medicine.

My legal career started in commercial litigation at Lane Powell, now Ballard Spahr. After two years, I moved to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office, where I practiced primarily in the juvenile unit.

Feeling the call for something different, I made a drastic decision and left the DA’s office without another job lined up. Two months later, I started at Oregon Health & Science University, an academic health center, in their Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity department.

Unfortunately, in November 2020, my mom was diagnosed with incurable brain cancer. In early 2022, as I faced both the end of her life and the forthcoming birth of my first child, I made the decision to leave OHSU. This allowed me to focus on saying goodbye to my mom, bonding with my baby, and caring for myself and my family.

Significant transitions, both professional and personal, have been a theme over the past decade. Some have been painful. Yet, I have learned they can also offer an important moment to ask questions, explore possibilities, and move towards a new way of being. I bring my experiences, observations, successes, failures, and professional skills in service of individuals and teams in transition. My goal is to kindly and skillfully support clients to define and achieve success as they navigate these moments.
